Iowa looks to California for Marijuana Mentoring. Iowa has medical marijuana on the agenda and is looking to California's success and some of the struggles the golden state has faced since it legalized medical marijuana. Medical Marijuana has innumerable advocates. It has demonstrated positive results easing the suffering from many diseases such as MS, Epilepsy and psychological conditions such as PTSD and Chronic Anxiety in ways that no other herb or pharmaceutical chemical combination has achieved. Many citizens, including the ones here at MMJ USA, believe it to be a minor miracle of sorts. Yet it seems the cops always have some unqualified comment or twisted statistical spin that discredits all those who have had severe suffering eased by marijuana's simple remedies. We all know that there are those out there on the Medical Marijuana Bandwagon that just want to roll up a fatty at the end of the day, pop in a Pauly Shore flick on VHS, and giggle over a monster plate of nachos. A fool might argue that these people put a taint on the movement, but we say KUDOS POTHEADS!! Without your love of the blessed herb marijuana would not have the demographic support needed to overcome all the brain-dead bud bigots, and pork flavored propaganda pundits. On a strange side note, Iowa code has antiquated provisions that actually imply legitimate medicinal use of marijuana. The problem is that as long as the cops and Judges are allowed they will prosecute and persecute. That is what they do professionally. The contradictory state of the codes that imply legitimate uses for marijuana do not protect against prosecution by the state for the violation of the Federal Law. Remember it is the authorities job to find things to punish and tax us for until we can stand together and say F%$# OFF!!

New Jersey Multiple Sclerosis Patient is Free on Bail

Delmont, New Jersey | A 37 year old Multiple Sclerosis patient, John Wilson, was released from Southern State Prison early this week.

John was sentenced to 5 years in prison last month for growing marijuana and possessing mushrooms. 1 month and $15,000 later, Wilson says that other than a few muscle spasms and prison being a little scary, his health was OK while he was in custody. Full AP Release

It's no good that John had to go through all this, but it really is a perfect example of the gapping flaws of the existing legal system. New Jersey's new Medical Marijuana laws are set to go in to effect, August 1st 2010. But even then, John will not be able to grow his own "medicine". He'll have to go to a state run dispensary and pay their prices. John is already not able to afford his prescribed multiple sclerosis medication, which would cost him $3000 a month... Unless you want to wait 10 - 12 years for NJ to get their head straight, it's time for you and your Mom to move to California John.

The article from the Leaf Chronicle made a really sweet but clumsy try at sounding informed about medical marijuana. They listed a few diseases, "some" say MMJ helps. They said their state should be very careful with medical marijuana and cited instances of the dirty people of California using Medical Marijuana in a, God forbid, "recreational" manner. And the good Christian Conservatives of Tennessee should be careful of getting high with substances right? ...substances like Jack Daniels Whiskey right? Jack Daniels Whiskey, also known as Drunk Driving Fuel, is not only used legally and recreationally in Tennessee, but it's also created there. They then proceed to ship their poisonous, liquid gateway drug to the rest of the world. So, yes be careful with MMJ, Tennessee law makers, you wouldn't want to continue to look like gigantic hypocrites on this issue. The way I understand it, and correct me if I'm wrong, some counties in Tennessee are "Dry" counties... meaning the consumption of the alcohol they make in the same county is prohibited . That says a lot, yes? They're willing to make the big money producing their drug, but won't let each other consume it...

Let it be known, MMJ USA doesn't have a problem with Alcohol being legal. It's just a glaring example of the confusing hypocrisy that Pro Marijuana Americans have to live with.

There is much more to Ricky Williams than most of us knew. One of Ricky's closest said that Ricky is STILL afraid of his mother. She had a lot to say and she seems very nice now... and also very regretful. Most of the regret was from Ricky's father. Williams has incredibly sick and thankfully short memories of his father. How bad? He wanted to grow up and be a policeman, so he could legally shoot and kill his father. Why? One big reason: Ricky claimed as a child that his Dad made him take a nude photo of himself. No proof at the time of Ricky's accusation, because it was a Polaroid.... but his mother found the photo years later, exactly as Ricky had described it. When asked about the photo, Ricky's father said he didn't recall any sexual misconduct with Ricky.

So, what of Ricky lately? In 2009, Ricky Williams became the first runningback in NFL history to go 6 years in between 1000 yard NFL seasons. Oh yeah, and the nearly 9 million in debt the Miami Dolphins wanted Ricky to pay back for not fulfilling the contract? "It's an internal matter now."

I haven't heard anything about this upcoming special, other than what I've seen and heard from the promos leading up to tomorrow night @ 8.

I expect the 30 for 30 special to be a mostly positive and sympathetic story about one of my personal favorite Running backs of all time. Ricky Williams is a badass running back with a ton of accolades, including the 1998 Heisman Trophy. Ricky Williams also has a long history of using marijuana in a medicinal way. Because of that history, he also has an undeserved, negative reputation with more than a few uniformed people. From everything I've heard, Williams is a super friendly person, who's only problem with the law and the NFL has been due to the immoral laws and rules that confuse all of our free thinking minds on a daily basis.

Of course there will be a few haters who say he threw his life away for drugs...etc... Throw yourself in to a wall at 30mph a day for 15 years and then you can tell Ricky Williams how to make himself feel better... and BTW he's still going. I'm really looking forward to the special.
