So he will introduce a bill in 2011, to try and get MMJ removed from your state.

The Nationwide Medicinal Marijuana Chess Tournament

Right now, as you are reading this, there are many chess games being played between Marijuana Advocates and Prohibition Advocates. A law passed here, and some roadblocks thrown up there... a group limits the amount of MMJ dispensaries in a city over here... MMJ spreads virally over there, etc...

But, what the Prohibition Advocates don't understand is, that if they are even playing the game, they've already lost. Medical Marijuana is a sham... everyone knows it. Is it good medicine? Absolutely. Do all the people who use Marijuana need it? Absolutely Not. Medicinal Marijuana is a means to an end. Of course it should be available for the people who Need it. It should also be available to the people who don't need it. If there is a market for a product, you will make more problems than you solve using prohibition. Our war on the Mexican border is a glaring example of what happens by enforcing an immoral law, and thereby creating powerful Black Markets. Having said that, there should be a black market, and the only product the black market should have to sell is human trafficking. Human trafficking... Now thats something we should spend money on trying to STOP, Yes? Instead, currently our resources are going to the chasing and  imprisonment of non-violent drug offending Americans.... and human trafficking.

The reason Prohibition Advocates will eventually lose the Chess game and ultimately the Nationwide Tournament, is they are on the wrong side of an immoral law. Prohibition is the arch nemesis of a Free Market. The Status Quo was never interested and possibly incapable of having an intellectual discussion about legalization. Medical marijuana will pass in every state eventually and when California makes it legal on November 2nd 2010, the rest of the country... and the world will follow.

Well, what if you force the people to buy their medicine from a state approved dispensary? The only legal cannabis plants are the cannabis plants being grown by state sponsored dispensaries. Any Rhode Island citizen growing their own medicine for free, will be victim to Police Raids and imprisonment. If they cant afford their medicine, they can burn in hell.

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter will Sign Restrictive Marijuana Bill

Colorado Governor, Bill Ritter, plans on signing a more restrictive Marijuana Bill. The Colorado House voted 46-19 in favor of the House Bill 1284 yesterday. House Bill 1284 will:

• Require MMJ Dispensaries to obtain licenses before selling to patients.
• Allow bans on MMJ Dispensaries within local communities.
• Regulates where MMJ Dispensaries can operate. Similar to State Liquor Stores.
• MMJ Dispensary owners will be required to go through a Criminal Background Check.
• Require an Audit of sorts to make sure money used for MMJ Dispensary is black market free.
• Require MMJ Dispensaries to grow at least 70% of the marijuana sold by their dispensary.
• Keep MMJ growing locations secret to avoid criminal behavior.

Regulators expect that only about half of the existing 1,100 MMJ Dispensaries in Colorado will remain after the new regulations take effect. Whole Story Here.

Marc Emery is Coming to America - by Canadian Extradition

Marc Emery surrendered to sheriffs in Vancouver early Monday. The Candian Press has deemed Marc Emery, The Prince of Pot. Emery is charged with using his magazine and web site to sell over  4 million marijuana seeds across the border, from Canada to the USA. 

Emery was busted by an American undercover agent who pretended to be a marijuana seed buyer. Prior to the bust, other American agents made many mail-order purchases from March 2004 to March 2005. 

Last year Marc agreed to turn himself in, in exchange for a 5 year sentence that Marc hopes will be carried out in Canada. An existing treaty between Ottawa and Washington permits extradition, but upon conviction the criminal may be repatriated to his country to serve the sentence. More Here.

Kudos to YOU Federal Judge WU

Federal Judge, George H Wu, is calling for the reclassification of marijuana... And it comes as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is considering a petition, filed in 2002 by the Coalition for Rescheduling Cannabis.

After a multi-year-long review by the Department of Health and Human Services, the petition was recently sent to DEA, the final stage of the process. Acting DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart— who still must be confirmed by the U.S. Senate— has the authority to grant or deny the rescheduling. Full Story Here.

Thanks to Beck, and the over 6,000 signatures he's collected, the city of Detroit will have a vote this year similar to the kind of vote that California and Nevada have on the ballot in November.

Tim Beck is a veteran of successful drives to approve medical marijuana in five Michigan cities and ultimately statewide.

Beck, 58, spent five weeks overseeing the collection of many more than the 3,700 signatures needed to get Detroit's November ballot to include his proposal. It would legalize possession of up to 1 ounce of pot on private property by adults 21 and older. Full Story...

I was surfing around iTunes and found Bob Marley - Roots Rock Remixed Deluxe Edition. I bought one song, then found another killer remix, and another. So I just bought the whole album for a couple more dollars than it should have cost me. But the whole thing is nice. If you like Dub, Funk, Electronic and love Bob Marley, you will love most of the whole album.

If you were to only buy one song from the album, I would get Duppy Conqueror (Fort Knox Five Remix)... but, Soul Rebel (Afrodisiac Sound System Remix) is pretty great too. And, African Herbsman (King Kooba Remix) is great as well...

Bad Decision for Christopher Bartkowicz

It turns out not running to Canada and changing his guilty plea to a not guilty plea was another Bad Decision for Christopher Bartkowicz of Denver Colorado.

Christopher's grow was worth hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit. He went on TV, and told the world he was "Definitely Living the Dream Now". Chistopher was growing marijuana for registered MJ patients in Colorado; he allowed the DEA in to raid his house as he thought everything was in proper order. Another crazy mistake... A day after Bartkowicz's story appeared, DEA agents raided the house. It seems they were watching TV too. "It's still a violation of federal law," said Jeffrey Sweetin, the DEA's special agent in charge in Denver. "It's not medicine. We're still going to continue to investigate and arrest people." So, Chris is currently out of jail on a 10,000 secure property bond. The Feds got nasty and added time and money to original charges because Chris was living and growing near a school. Although they have no evidence he was selling to children that's a nice little thing they stick in there to put the screws to you. Moral of the story is, if you grow in a legal state, keep your mouth shut about your grow. Don't tell a god da*n soul. Chris made many bad decisions on his way to hell. We must feel bad for Chris, but more important than that, we should learn from Chris.
