Marijuana on Wheels gets Rolled

Marijuana on Wheels gets Rolled A couple out of Norco California have been roaming the highways and byways of the Golden State, even crossing the borders into Nevada, distributing Medical Marijuana to over 700 grateful recipients. Stewart Hauptman and Helen Cherry believed their little non-profit mobile marijuana operation was above board until some cops put a stop to it. According to the Washington Post the cops claim it is a profitable enterprise that violates zoning laws. It seems the Cops primary job is to violate the common citizen, put down a growing private industry by force, violate peaceful retired couples, and clear the way for major Pharmaceutical/Corporate operation's future marijuana monopoly. Legalize and let it grow!

Alcohol FDR Marijuana Obama Legalized

Anya Morgan wrote a cool piece in the Huffington Post titled, "A Blunt Reform Redux?". The article compares FDR and Obama. She points out that many don't know Franklin Delano Roosevelt started the repeal of prohibition. She was right, I didn't know that. But it was a lucky guess.
Anya suggests that Barack Obama's recent pledge to not prosecute MMJ growers, should they be in compliance with local laws, is the beginning stages of outright legalization of Marijuana. Anya describes in further detail how the total legalization of alcohol came about in stages... stages eerily similar to what is happening with Marijuana right now. Stages set by a true American hero, FDR. I knew I liked Obama...
California and Nevada are further along in this process than the rest of the states. Huge vote coming up November 2nd for both California and Nevada. We will see states choosing to do it differently, but the eventual outcome for all our states will be outright legalization, as it's the only moral choice.

Las Vegas Medicinal Marijuana Law - 1 ounce usable. A Physician's recommendation is required. On November 7, 2000 65% of voters approved Question 9. The law, which removes state-level criminal penalties on the use, possession and cultivation of cannabis by patients who have "written documentation" from a licensed physician, took effect on October 1, 2001. Patients diagnosed with the following illnesses can obtain a medical card: AIDS; cancer; glaucoma; and any medical condition or treatment to a medical condition that produces cachexia, persistent muscle spasms or seizures, severe nausea or pain. Other conditions are subject to approval by the health division of the state Department of Human Resources. Once a medical cannabis card is obtained patients may legally possess no more than one ounce of usable cannabis, and may grow no more than seven cannabis plants. The law establishes a state-run patient registry that issues identification cards to qualifying patients. Patients who do not join the registry or possess greater amounts of cannabis than allowed by law are subject to arrest on cannabis charges.
