VA will Allow MMJ in States where MMJ is Legal

This is the best Medical Marijuana story of the month by far. The VA will now be allowing our beloved Veterans to use marijuana in the 14 states Medical marijuana is currently legal in. Prior to this, our veterans who served with honor would be denied all benefits if they were caught using marijuana. You still need to have a physicians recommendation, but at least our family members are not in danger of losing their precious health benefits.... in the states where medical marijuana is legal.

The previous Federal policy was and still is shameful in the states that have yet to adopt rational thought. Our Vets now have a choice to move to a Progressive thinking state and use their medicine of choice... and in some cases its the only medicine that will work. A solid step in the right direction... Oregons Medical Marijuana Dispensary Measure 74

On Friday, an official announcement came from Oregon's Secretary of State Elections Division, stating that the Dispensary Initiative has enough signatures to be placed on this coming November's ballot. According to the Coalition for Patients Rights, polling show that a mighty 59% of Oregon voters would support the initiative.

Los Angeles County wants to Ban Unincorporated MMJ Dispensaries

Los Angeles County wants to altogether Ban Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. MMJ Dispensaries are currently allowed in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, but you wouldn't know it if you lived there. There have never been any approved Marijuana Dispensaries because there probably isn't an inch of land that is not within 1,000 feet of a church, daycare center, library, playground, school or other ?!? "sensitive uses" ?!? - More Here.

The paranoia regarding areas involving children is understandable... not logical, but I could listen to an argument for that. But, churches and libraries? What are they worried about? It reminds me of some gun laws that sound like no brainers on the surface... ie. No guns allowed in churches. Sounds good at first. The problem is, if someone has intent to kill, that gun law won't stop them. You WANT good, responsible people to have guns in situations where a crazy cuts loose. The "No MMJ dispensaries near libraries or churches" is bogus. You worry about the drug dealer targeting kids ON the playground. You don't worry about the legitimate business selling wine or medicine. Even if its next door to a school.

And if the worry is about the crime that a MMJ Dispensary could bring to the area, if true, that is only the fault of lawmakers keeping marijuana "kind of" illegal. All these growing pains could have been avoided if marijuana had just been legalized. - Medical Marijuana Card

Missouri Bans Fake Marijuana

Missouri has a history of enacting and enforcing strange laws such as; it was legal to kill Mormon Men in Missouri all the way up until 1978 or so. That's one to grow on.

Missouri is following the lead of a few other US states (Kansas and North Dakota) and European countries in banning synthetic marijuana, fake marijuana or K2. The fake marijuana is made up of dried herbs and flowers, and is sprayed with a chemical that mimics the effects marijuana has on the brain.

Admittedly, this law isn't as strange or intrusive as say, allowing the murder of a religious cult's male members. But it is pretty backwards considering the timing. While other US states are finally waking up from the stupor that years of black-market supporting propaganda created; Missouri, Kansas and N Dakota are figuring out new and innovative ways to be ignorant. Banning dried herbs and flowers is a nice way to keep up the stupid.

Is it child abuse to grow Medical Marijuana in a home with kids? Short answer is No. Longer answer is; That's the stupidest fu#$ing question I've ever heard. Why aren't we asking if it's child abuse if you make your own wine or beer on the same property that you raise your children? That's easy; Because those are also stupid questions. Some Police in Colorado are despicable enough to try and take away someones child in retaliation to a legal home grow. Dude had a medical marijuana card, and could legally grow... so drumming up false charges of child abuse in order to eventually take the mans children away, or at least threaten the parents with that scenario, was the cops next best option.... and where I'm from, That's pretty sick chubs.
