New York State democrats are pushing to legalize medical marijuana. They profess that the herbs medicinal properties can help many serious illnesses like cancer but confess an ulterior motive. California, the well spring of the medicinal marijuana movement is trying to take things a step further.
"This is a watershed moment in the decades-long struggle to end marijuana prohibition in this country," said Stephen Gutwillig, California director of the Drug Policy Alliance, which has spearheaded the ballot initiative.
