Is Green Crack a Positive Strain Name for the Pro Marijuana Community?

Quick Answer is Yes, its a fantastically effective brand name. Long answer is:

First, I'd like to thank my facebook friends over at Individual IClick for giving me this topic to think on. The Individuals make an assertion that the strain name, "Green Crack" is bad for the Pro Marijuana movement. 

This could make sense on the surface. Crack is a terrible drug. Crack has ruined countless lives. Crack is crazy addictive. ALMOST gives its abusers no chance of return. But we are supposed to be living in a Free Country. As long as I am not affecting someone's freedom or property, then I should be allowed to kill myself as quickly or slowly as I choose. If I choose to do it quick with Crack or a knife to the wrists, that's my choice. If I choose to do it slow with Twinkies and a sedentary lifestyle, that's my choice.

As far as the Public Relations problem The Individuals have with "Green Crack"; Even though we all now agree that Crack should be legal, it's still a negative, and understandable if someone wouldn't want it associated with their product of choice. But if you have a problem with the effectiveness of the brand, "Green Crack", then you may also have a problem with the effectiveness of using sex in advertising. You remember Green Crack, you can imagine how Green Crack might feel if you hadn't smoked it. I doubt seriously that many people would think that a hit of Green Crack would have the same or even similar effects of real crack. If they did think that, they are most likely not the target audience. So, who gives a shit what they think?    :)
Marijuana is a product. Just like corn, coffee and rice. Why would limiting advertising for your product be a good idea. We should never apologize for wanting to treat marijuana like any other product. We don't need to worry about what the Puritans think about the plant we love the most. We move forward, paying no attention to the Nanny State bullshit they've talked themselves in to believing.

Smoke Buddy - Smoke without a Scent

Just a short intro to myself, an experienced grower and smoker of twenty some years. We are all aware of the ability of carbon filters to remove smells and particles from grow spaces,so i guess it was a logical progression that the initiative of a company based in the USA led to realizing this idea could be used for smokers too. They have manufactured a minuscule carbon filter,which they claim allows the user to smoke a one hit bong or pipe ANYWHERE without any smoke or smell. Similar to their larger grow room cousins, these filters do need replacing occasionally,but the regularity of that would depend entirely on the amount it is used.Luckily the vendor offers them singularly or a six month or years supply,with discounts the more you buy. The price for one smokebuddy is US$19.99  I was most intrigued by this product, as i have predominately been a bong and pipe smoker for most of my smoking life, so decided i needed to test one immediately. As soon as the package arrived i packed my deepest roor bowl with 0.7 g of some well ground frosty MRnice critical mass,and a sprinkling of royale haze/blue widow super melt dry sift-just to be safe;) I stoked the bowl hard and waited till the icemaster cylinder was full of thick yellow smoke before lifting the down tube and injecting the ridiculous amount of smoke into my lungs; I didn't hold the smoke as long as i usually would on account of wanting to give the smoke buddy a worthwhile test. I almost immediately exhaled through the narrower end of the smokebuddy and to my utter amazement,and the friend who's help I'd enlisted to smell the outlet end from a distance of around 2 inches,not a wisp of smoke emitted from the outlet,my friend said the best way to describe what he felt and smelt coming from the outlet was a warm, steamy smell.

Impressed by the initial results i felt the smoke buddy warranted further testing.using a small pipe with some brewery tubing attached as a mouthpiece extension, and armed with my smokebuddy I attended my local cinema,and sitting toward the back managed to smoke 7 one hit pipes without any one giving me the slightest odd look.the cinema wasn't full to capacity but i think this does go a good way towards demonstrating the effectiveness of this product. One observation I'd make though is that this really is useless for smoking joints, as it has no way of dealing with the smoke that leaves the end of a joint. A pipe with a lid may be better used for this if you do want to use it for clandestine smoking,but with some practice it is easy to judge the exact amount of smoking material you can take in one hit. Another small technique that seems to make the smokebuddy slightly more effective is that you should exhale your smoke through the device, then breath in through your nose to get enough breath to push the last remnants of smoke that will have remained on the dirty side of the carbon filter that the end of your first exhale weren't able to push through.With a little practice you will soon see that this is one of the most innovative products to come on the smoking scene because it really does allow you to smoke ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Massachusetts to Legalize Marijuana in 2012

Voters in Massachusetts appear to be ready to legalize marijuana in 2012, according to an analysis of the votes on local cannabis legalization advisory ballot questions last Tuesday.

Massachusetts allows for citizens to place non-binding local “public policy questions” on the ballot. And voters in several precincts weighed in this year on whether their local representatives should “vote in favor of legislation that would allow the state to regulate and tax the marijuana in the same manner as alcohol.”

More than 150,000 votes were cast on the marijuana issue across Massachusetts, in districts containing about 8.5 percent of the total vote. In the districts where pot policy was on the ballot, the advisory question passed with an overwhelming 61 percent of the vote, but these districts were slightly more liberal than the rest of the state, reports Jon Walker at Firedoglake. So to determine how those results might translate to a statewide marijuana legalization ballot question, Walker used two different metrics to analyze the data. The whole story from NEWS JUNKIE POST.
