Cruising the California Coast for the Choicest of Breaks and Kindest of Buds
I have long wanted the freedom to just chase the best surf conditions from LA all the way down through Baja. Until now it was just a dream. In this recession I could never afford the bare minimum sleeping accommodations. Few of the choicest breaks have camping facilities available. Pitching a tent was always cool when down in Baja but sand got everywhere and setting up and taring down shop was such a chore. Then I saw this tent that fastens to just about any car. It pops up and locks and is ready to go in an instant. It has a sick comfortable mattress that rivals any Hotel bed and saves me $60-$200 that i would spend to for such accommodations. The best thing about it is i am a snails sprint from the breaks. At night I burn my Purps sweet and slow and watch the sun boil into the pulsing sea. In the morning it is the Afghan Cush or G13 as i slip into my wetsuit, grab my board and crash into the crisp morning waves before the stars have cloaked themselves in sunlight.
